El Salvador Data Center Network Cabling System
SIGET, El Salvador's telecom regulator, has chosen Liberty Networks as the provider to design, construct, deploy, and operate the country's first submarine cable. New 1,800 km cable will connect El Salvador to major international hubs, boosting high-speed internet capacity and resiliency. América Móvil (Mexico), Grupo IBW (local), General International Telecom Limited GITL (UK), and Tigo El. El Salvador is pressing ahead with a strategic investment of approximately USD 81 million in 2026 to build the country's first submarine cable system to bolster internet capacity, resilience, and global connectivity.
