Qatar-based Ooredoo Group has partnered with France's Alcatel Submarine Networks (ASN) to build the Fibre in Gulf (FIG) submarine cable. The system will provide low-latency, high-capacity. The Fibre in Gulf (FIG) is a submarine cable connecting seven GCC countries in the region – Qatar, Oman, the UAE, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Iraq.
